Extra thin (1.2mm) bookmark in brown Russian calfskin leather. It comes with a paper case, ideal for offering a refined gift.

Russian leather is distinguished by its diamond-shaped grain, its characteristic reddish-brown hue, and the delicately smoky scent of the birch tar oil used to condition it. This rare leather is produced using a vegetable tanning process with oak, willow, and birch bark, an age-old technique still employed at the English tannery J. & FJ Baker.

The bookmark is cut, assembled, and finished by hand in France, at the Meleniewska workshop. It is lined (flower against flower). Its threaded edges are coated with a clear varnish.
