The full-grain leather, selected from the Haas tannery in Alsace, is double-tanned: a first chrome tanning gives it suppleness and a soft hand; the vegetable retanning gives it the potential to develop a patina (the leather's ability to grow more beautiful with age).
The bookmark is handcrafted in France at the Meleniewska workshop. It is lined grain to grain, and its edges are creased and coated with varnish.
