This model of the Ambre 25 handbag from the Cuir de Russie edition, Exclusive Meleniewska, was crafted from full-grain aniline calfskin, tanned using an extra-slow vegetable method by J. & FJ Baker in Colyton, then cut, sewn and finished by hand - in the saddler's style - at the Meleniewska Workshop in Pré-Saint-Gervais.

Materials

Russian leather, full-grain calfskin, vegetable tanned

Russian leather:

- full-grain calfskin, slow vegetable-tanned (6 months) with oak, willow and birch bark

- dyed through (aniline finish)

- diamond-shaped grain

- nourished with smoked birch oil

Finishes

Hand saddle-stitched, creased and varnished edges

Saddler's finishes:

- raw leather dyed through (aniline)

- raw edges creased, sanded and varnished

- hand-sewn (saddle stitch)
