Meleniewska works with vegetable-tanned leather.

Vegetable-tanned leather is a noble material, prized for its patina, its rounded feel and its fragrance with notes of undergrowth.

The Meleniewska workshop's selection consists of four varieties of leather:
- Iouft (or Russian leather), grained calfskin leather produced through a slow tanning process using oak, willow and birch bark, and scented with birch oil
- double chrome-vegetable tanned calfskin
- Cowhide leather tanned with oak bark
- cowhide leather tanned with chestnut-mimosa-quebracho extracts

These full-grain leathers are sourced from three European tanneries:
- Masure, in Belgium
- Haas, in France
- J. & FJ Baker, in England

Leather is a rare material. Its longevity and origin give it an indescribable beauty. For these reasons, the Meleniewska workshop prioritizes working with leather on a made-to-order basis.
